Painted Arts & Crafts Kitchen with Oak Detailing

Design Brief

  • Replacement kitchen for early 1900’s Arts and Crafts home in Windermere.
  • New kitchen to have Arts & Crafts details to marry it into the house. Existing Aga and Stainless steel Island worktop to be retained.

Leaded glazing in the door panels to match the house windows, and a wrap around cornice, help to give this compact kitchen an Arts & Crafts theme.

A pair of full height Oak lined cupboards provide concealed storage and sockets for kitchen equipment.

Deep narrow space beside the fridge fitted with Oak pull-out larder drawers.

Drop leaf quarter-sawn oak table on the island provides extra table, when needed, for seating by the window.

Worktops in honed Westmorland slate continue the Arts & Crafts theme.
